Things to do in Swansea City Centre – no matter what the weather!

We’re not always blessed with having blue skies and the big ball of fire in the sky, so we’ve put together some suggestions of what to do with the kids during the school holidays in Swansea City Centre – no matter what the weather!!!
1. Plantasia (Parc Tawe)
Experience the wonders of Africa including tribal dress, tarantulas, Giant African snails, millipedes and more.
Animal Antics shows at Plantasia are informative and hands on sessions that give visitors a chance to get up close to variety of different animals -this May the theme is ‘Africa’
2. Ten Pin Bowling (Parc Tawe)
Eat & Play for just £7.49 (for children) & £9.99 (for adults) during the May Half Term (includes 2 games and a burger meal each). Available Monday to Friday untill 5pm Visit the website to book online

3. Cinema (Vue & Odeon)
Visit the cinema in Swansea City Centre for the kids clubs for just £1.99 (Vue Cinema) and £2.50 (Odeon Cinema, Parc Tawe)
Choose from Shaun the Sheep*, The Spongebob Movie, Dino Time*, Big Hero 6**, Cinderella**, Paddington**, The Box Trolls**
4. Laserzone (Castle Street)
Something sure to wear the kids out this half term and open between 11am and 10pm during the school holidays.. From £4 per game (off peak Mon – Thu)
Kidszone every Sunday 10.30am – midday Ages 8 – 16. £7.50 for 3 games. Booking in advance is required

5. LC2 Swansea
The LC2 Swansea is open every day during the half term but if you’re not lucky enough to have the time off, why not visit on Friday and Saturday evening instead between 5pm – 8pm. Enjoy the extreme waves, a rapid river, pumping music and the ultimate thrill seeking ride – The Boardrider! It’s just £4 per person. It’s advisable to pre-book your visit by calling 01792 466500.
6. National Waterfront Museum
The National Waterfront Museum is open everyday (until 5pm) and has FREE entry. This half term you can attend a workshop ‘Three Cool Things to make with a Lolly Stick‘ everday until Sunday 31 May 2015 between 12.30pm-3.30pm
And don’t forget, whilst you’re there, you can get a 10% discount in the Gift Shop when you show your Swansea Loyalty Card!
7. Grand Theatre
Have you ever wondered what goes on behind the big red curtains at the Grand Theatre? If so, then you’ll love the ‘Behind the Scenes’ tour on Saturday 30th May at 10am.
