Swansea City Centre Is Open for Safe, Local Shopping
Sep 30, 2020

None of us wanted to have to go into a local lockdown in Swansea, but rest assured that City Centre businesses are open, and ready to serve local shoppers safely, so we can get through this difficult time.
The new rules for those of us living in Swansea and Llanelli are, in broad terms, that non-essential travel cannot be done. However, you can still pick up all your essentials, locally, and your medicines, and you can travel to work if you cannot work from home.
Find the detailed rules here: https://gov.wales/local-coronavirus-restrictions-introduced-control-outbreaks-south-wales
So: our supermarkets, market traders, retail, gyms, galleries and other visitors’ sites are on hand to look after you and to welcome you through their doors. As you know, many Swansea City Centre businesses are already running fully-embedded delivery options, which many of you are used to using now, with your favourite suppliers including Billy Upton, Brontosaurus Vegan, Get Fresh Swansea, Davies of Mumbles, Valley Mill and others giving door-to-door service. Bear in mind, if you are coming into the City Centre, that all licensed premises have to stop serving alcohol at 10pm.
Remember too that a City Centre parking offer provided by Swansea Council gives you three hours of parking of just £1 for three hours in David’s Multi Storey Car Park.
Swansea City Centre businesses have been operating with the Covid-19 safety rules for some months now, so these are very much a regular part of their operations – so you have no need to worry unduly about your safety. However, please remember that it is now compulsory to wear a mask while shopping in Wales. (If you need to pick up a new mask, why not head to Culture Clothing, Boots, or Tesco?)
We’re very much looking forward to welcoming you through our doors.
