Ginuary flies directly in the face of ‘Dry January’ and encourages people all over to embrace gin for all its wonderful flavours, styles and capabilities.
You can celebrate #Ginuary in any which way you choose, there are no set rules. It’s all about appreciating and enjoying gin throughout the first month of the year and in Swansea City Centre there are countless places you can visit to do just that.
In Hogarths, Juniper Place and No.6 we have three great bars that focus on gins and serve a multitude of different types and flavours. Look out for all kinds of amazing drinks including ‘Elderflower & Violet Bramble’, ‘Strawberry & Vanilla’ and home-made Sloe Gins. Juniper Place also offer the ‘Cygnet Experience’, a ‘Gin Masterclass’ that includes a distillery tour and gin tasting session as well as offering 20% off their ‘Cygnet Gin’ drinks all month. Three Lamps is another of the great new venues to open in the City Centre and they also stock some great gins, keep an eye out for their roof terrace opening in 2019.
As well as gin bars there are several cocktail bars in the City Centre that serve up eye-catching gin-based drinks every night of the week. Both Bambu on Wind Street and Kon Tiki serve up countless colourful cocktails, many of which contain different types of gin.
If you’re looking for somewhere that has more of a classic pub atmosphere but still want to indulge in a gin tipple then Bank Statement, Flickering Light and The Perch are three great venues on Wind Street you should definitely take a look at. The Perch has teamed up with Juniper Place to stock their ‘Cygnet Gin’, so if you’ve developed a taste for it you’re now spoilt for choice on where to go!
Of course, we couldn’t forget some of the classic spots in the City Centre where you’re guaranteed a great time and some even better gin. Try Revolution, Peppermint and Idols if you’re looking to let your hair down and really enjoy yourself this #Ginuary.
