The summer holidays are nearly upon us, I’m sure lots of you will be on the lookout for new places and events to visit and keep the whole family occupied. So we have a few suggestions to keep your diary filled over the next 6 weeks of things you can do in Swansea City Centre!! (Some of which are completely FREE)


1.Dinos R Us @ Toys R Us

Parc Tawe, North Dock, Swansea SA1 2AS

On the 25th of August between 10:00-17:00Hrs, Dinos R Us will be visiting Toys R Us! This is going to be the perfect day out for any dinosaur fan! For just £3 you can:

  • Meet Spike the large Spinosaurus
  • Meet Chip the velociraptordino
  • Meet Trixie the triceretops
  • Feed and touch the Dinos
  • Search for Dinosaur bones in their large pit
  • Have a go in their large dinosaur dig

 

Appearances by Spike the Spinosaurus will be made for 15 minutes each hour throughout the day!

Unfortunately, this event is for children aged 3+

2. National Waterfront Museum

Teddy Bears Picnic- 20th July- 10AM-2:30 PM

-Don’t forget to bring along your teddy bears and for extra fun, you can dress up as your favourite children’s TV character!

– Join us going pirate crazy this weekend with lots of activities and crafts!

3 cool things to make with K’NEX– 25th– 29th July- 12:30PM-3:30PM

-Come SONY DSCand join XL Wales during the school holidays for some fun challenges!

3. Odeon Swansea

4. Swansea Museum

This event gives the opportunity to learn how to write your name in hieroglyphics and get messy by making a model Egyptian Shabti in clay.

The wonderful Swansea based Dynamix Coop (their tagline is SERIOUS FUN!) will be running the sessions and this week’s theme is Festival of Play – a host of different activities bringing the outdoors indoors with a festival type vibe.
Family Fun: Space to Play– 9th August- 10:00- 12:00

The wonderful Swansea based Dynamix Coop (their tagline is SERIOUS FUN!) will be running the sessions and this week’s theme is Space to Play – build your own play space in Unit Nineteen. Design, build and help shape your own space.

Both events are two hours of family play session for £4 per child (special family rates – £6 for 2 children and £8 for 3+ children). No charge for accompanying guardians. Suitable for ages 4-11.
